This local Rockaway eatery is an oasis in the urban jungle. Friendly service and great food allow this gem to be open all year round (which is not always the case in this beachtown). Definitely ask about specials before making your final decision.
We are new to the area and wanted to try it. We came in January but they were closed for the month! Today they were open and I ordered 2 chocolate croissants before I found out they only take Venmo or cash. They were kind enough to take my $7 and and a IOU. The chocolate croissant was good although the only other time I had one was in Paris, the one in Paris was better. But I will be back to pay what I owe and try what the reviewers recommend!

If I could, I would give them 10 stars!!! Be prepared to bite into deliciousness, and fall in love with their baked goods! I purchased something called a Maple Banana Financier. OH MY GOD! It had the flavor of a pancake, the texture of a cronut and real banana in every bite. My only regret is that I live so far away from this treasure shop. Every time I am anywhere in the vicinity, I stop in for a large box of assorted baked treats to bring home. Go find out for yourself.
Everything is amazing!! Simple bakery counter with a small menu of breakfast and lunch sandwiches and a few seats. Coffee and tea as well. It's your lucky day if there is any pie by the slice!
My wife and I came here on Friday afternoon for brunch. We shared a few pastries and a couple of their sandwiches. My favorite pastry was the ham and cheese croissant with everything seasoning. My favorite sandwich was the bacon, lettuce, and tomato on focaccia. Service was very friendly and quick. Lots of options and it was nice spot to hang out.
The decor of Rockaway Beach Bakery is adorable with colorful paintings and the ambiance is lively. The staff was friendly, attentive and introduced everything with patience. Their Ham & Swiss Everything Croissant is a must try. We were impressed with it's balanced flavor and the multi-layered & crispy texture. We also love their Croissant Loaf, amazingly delicious and satisfying. It's too far for us to visit often but we definitely recommend all of our friends to give it a try.
